Mynon
A downloadable game for Windows
What is the game about?
It's a prototype of a Monster Catcher game inspired by Pokémon. It's just an idea and it's very raw. If you want, you can try out my vision of this game.
This is just a prototype built in 7 days, so there's not much to it. If you hover over a creature, it's automatically added to your inventory.
I'd appreciate any ideas for adding to the prototype if you liked the idea.
Update 0.0.2 Log
- It is now possible to open a window to view the statistics of a captured Mynon. It's even possible to change their names
- Improved surface detection; the footstep sound now plays correctly on each material. Additionally, if you run across the surface, particles will now appear from the ground at the character's location.
- New Menu.
- Now the game also saves playtime.
- The customization menu is fixed; you can now go back to the previous menu and vice versa.
- The character interaction system now moves when the character approaches a plant or flower, adding more immersion to the game.
- Some icons were changed for better visual aesthetics.
- When you try to delete the game, it will ask for confirmation.
- New graphics option enabled "Minimum", this option is intended for players with the worst performance, it looks quite bad, but it has a noticeable visual improvement.
Anything Else?
Some performance improvements, style changes, and bug fixes.
Thanks to everyone who plays this version and the game in general; all feedback will be considered.
If you have any ideas or improvements that could benefit the game, please feel free to comment. They might be added in the future. Remember, this project is just a prototype for now.
